We offer a wide range of unique activities and extras to enrich every child’s experience at Dunblane Nature Kindergarten and to support busy parents.
We are lucky to have our own Nursery Teacher who works closely with our children and their key workers to ensure that children make good progress within all aspects of their development in readiness for school.

ZooLab helps excite our children’s curiosity and covers many subject areas within the national curriculum by introducing children to all sorts of animals, big and small!
Settling In Sessions
Our nursery offers settling in sessions. Parents can bring their child for a couple of hours first, gradually introducing the child to a new environment. Settling in sessions are aimed at helping your child to adapt to their new surroundings and become more familiar with the staff and other children.
Our nursery encourages children to celebrate festivals throughout the year. This is one of the best ways for children to learn about different religions and cultures by celebrating various world religious festivals, food tasting from different countries, and dressing up in the national dress of their friends.
In recognition that education begins in the home, we are fully committed to a partnership approach with parents. Parents are kept up to date with quarterly newsletters, parent focus groups and annual parent’s evenings. Parents are also able to keep up to date with activities going on in the nursery by following our social media accounts; DNK Facebook and DNK Twitter.
We celebrate Christmas by putting on a wonderful Christmas show for friends and family each year. There's always much excitement in preparing for the show as we learn songs and organise our special dress ups.
Our nursery enjoys great ties with our local community and we are often out and about visiting local sights and getting involved in events.
We celebrate the big move to primary school with a special graduation ceremony each year—caps, gowns, the works!
Taking part in fundraising activities helps children to learn about others that are less fortunate than themselves and understand how we can help them. Fundraising events are good fun and are a great way to get children, families and communities together. We are currently fundraising for Start Up Stirling.
E-Learning Journals allow you to see your child’s activities at nursery with the click of a button. Staff upload images and notes about your child's participation in activities at nursery for you to access wherever you are. Our nursery tablets offer exciting and stimulating learning experiences tailored to challenge and engage little ones.
Eco Schools is the largest sustainable schools programme in the world and is designed to encourage action on sustainable development education issues. Our children love getting involved in their Eco Schools projects and learning about how to help protect the environment.
We provide children with opportunities to explore the use of real tools and natural materials with our supervision. Risky play encourages the development of fine motor skills, communication, concentration and co-ordination and gives our children great scope to engage with their surroundings.
We accept your courier deliveries to make things that little bit easier for busy mums and dads.
